Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) is a cobalt-corrinoid coenzyme with a central cobalt(III) ion coordinated by a corrin ring, an axial dimethylbenzimidazole, and an axial cyano ligand. Empirical formula C₆₃H₈₈CoN₁₄O₁₄P; MW 1355.37 Da (PubChem CID 5479262).
Reconstitution. For in-vitro laboratory handling, dissolve with sterile water. Compound is hygroscopic — handle in low-humidity conditions and re-cap immediately.
